Digital Image Project
My first project was a digital imaging project. We were assigned the job of a web designer and given the task of serving a client who was creating a website about parenting. The client needed a banner and an icon for the website. We were to use the images provided to create a final image that was 1000 x 400 pixels in size using Photoshop. Additionally, we needed to use masking to remove the background of one of the photos, overlap the photos, use a gradient tool on the foreground image and add text. This is the banner I created.
This is the icon that I created.

Digital Image Project 1a
Once we completed project 1 we were tasked to use our own photos and apply one technique used in the first project and three new techniques in Photoshop. I chose to use the dispersion effect on the duck, hue/saturation to change the color of the dress of the jumping woman and curves to get more detail in the sky and in the tower in the background. Digital Audio Project
For our second project we created a digital audio file that illustrated our knowledge of how to capture and manipulate digital audio information for playback on the web. I chose to interview my son and ask him what makes him happy and then added the song Happy. I used Audacity to mix these together. For our third project we created a video in Movie Maker. I took video and photographs of my students working on a Pi Day activity. I then uploaded all the photos and video into Movie Maker to create a video less than 60 seconds. For the music in the background I used A Song About Pi by Lucy Kaplansky. I used Audacity to choose the portion of the song that I wanted for my video and to add some of my students reciting the digits of pi.
